There are so many misconceptions about working in a pawn shop & today I just want to let you know the quality of the people that are out there. I met a gentleman in the shop yesterday by the name of Matt Renata who is involved in a charity called Borderless Community Services. It started a few years back where he saw some families needing a hand & delivered some food to them. It now delivers food hampers to 120 families in need. It takes a team to deliver this type of help & one member that has given his time is Cronulla Sharks player Sam Tagataese, using his training days off to offer his time and resources to Borderless Community Services & the families they support. He was recently awarded the Ken Stephen medal which is the NRL’s award for the most outstanding work in the community. I couldn’t help but give a donation & I hope you out there reading this take the time to look at their facebook page & donate as well. Well done Borderless Community Services!
